Meet the Band

By crossing over multiple genres and weaving them together to form their own kind of noise, The Vonics are an upbeat Alternative / Power Pop Rock band. Formed in 2018, the five piece band from Dudley, West Midlands, had a big passion for writing and recording their own music.

Their songs bring energy and excitement and have been described as "when Primal Scream meets Slade" and "a nod to the halcyon days of nineties Brit Pop". They released their debut EP in 2020, featuring the singles, Within My Soul and She's On fire. Both of which received national airplay on stations such as BBC Introduces, Planet Rock and Union Jack. Wolverhampton Wanderers FC also used Within My Soul on several of their fan videos, much to the delight of a few of the members, who are big Wolves fans.

The two latest singles 'Goodbye' & 'Hypnotic' are out now and have been well received by fans and critics. Goodbye has been called their "catchiest single ever"! Hypnotic has been described as an "electrifying release that soars to new heights"!

The next big release is their new EP titled, "The World Can Wait", due out the 2/9/22!

Singer

The man behind the mic, Scott is one of the principle song writers and his tone is one of the main factors in the bands sound

Mark Hancox

Guitar / Backing Vocals

The man on lead guitar and one the principle song writers, Mark is a big fan of Gordon Smith Guitars and he mainly uses custom Gordon Smith. His sound can be heard through his Fender Blues Junior amp and his tone comes from his VOX and OCD pedals.

Chris Dixon

Guitar

Chris is mainly seen using his Fender Custom shop 1968 strat, but occasionally roles out his 60s re issue Daphne Blue strat, as well as his Gibson Les Paul and Gretsch. These can be heard through his Laney Lionheart L20H amp and his BOSS distortion and Cry Baby wah pedals.

John Webb

Bass

Johns thundering Bass tones mainly come from his Yamaha Bass and his Fender Jazz Bass. These can be heard through his Ashdown Bass Amp and Laney Richter cab.
